Grit mad- not like me!

Loads more grit action in the last week, it’s been a bit of a battle with the drizzle but I’ve definitely been making the most of it.

Been to Millstone a couple of times and Curbar a lot!

Haven’t been back on Linden yet, am quite psyched for it but am a little bit like a kid in a sweet shop at the mo. I’ve been racing round having a go on loads of things. I flashed Usurper- E4 6a at Curbar, which is a fantastic route. Someone did it before me and left all the gear in, so I led up on theirs. It’s got a tricky crux if you don’t know what you’re doing.

I know I should have led it putting my own gear in but the way I look at it, as long as you are honest about your style of ascent it doesn’t really matter.

Anyway that was cool and today I led Profit of Doom. This felt a lot harder than Usurper and even with the pre-placed bit of gear, I think it’s E5. Some very good climbers were on it today when my rope was there and nobody flashed it. That says a lot to me.

It’s a great route but very hard to on sight. Especially if you are a pygmy like me because you can only use the holds in the groove or the holds on the ar
