BMC rock climbing essentials lecture tour

1st Mar 2008

Fascist in me

Myself and IFMGA guide Libby Peter are presenting a series of lectures around the country over the next two weeks.

We are lecturing at six venues which are:

Newcastle Uni Monday 3 March

Sheffield Uni Tuesday 4 March

Cardiff Uni Wednesday 5 March

London Uni college Tuesday 11 March

Peterborough Parkway club Wednesday 12 March

Coventry Uni Thursday 13 March

The lectures are aimed at people who maybe have limited experience of climbing or more importantly, climbing outdoors.

Libby and I will be giving top tips, hints and personal insights of what to expect when you go to new areas, how to approach different styles of climbing, technical help and most importantly lots of inspirational images of some of Britain's most popular areas.

These lectures will also be of interest to more experienced climbers as we will cover some more advanced techniques and pointers on places to go. And there's no harm in going over a few things and maybe finding out new ways and changing old (bad) habits.

I will be giving away free signed Scarpa posters of myself headpointing Janus E7 6b, Curbar and there will be various BMC guidebooks and products on sale at offer prices.

So if you are near one of the venues, we look forward to seeing you there.
